After students raised awareness that many of the floodlights around the MUGA are no longer working, the SU has brought the matter to the attention of the College's Estates team and repeatedly pushed for action to remedy the situation as there is a health and safety risk to students trying to train on the space after dark. The College have heard us and are taking action! In the short term, they have ordered new bulbs for the existing floodlights that are due to be installed in early December and long term they are looking into upgrading the floodlights to more energy efficient LED lights. Thank you to everyone who brought this matter to the attention of the Union and for your continued patience whilst we wait for the new bulbs to be installed.
