My name is Hannah Christophersdottir-Newman and I’m in year 3 of the BVetMed course.
I live in London, I’m half Icelandic and have a degree in Biology from the University of York. I love to travel and experience new things which is partly why the plan is to be a wildlife or exotics vet! I used to play handball (the best sport in the world) and in my spare time I dabble in Ice skating, embroidery and general frolicking in nature.
I think I’d be a good choice for this role because I’ve realised that the best way to make an impact and have a say in things, is to get involved! I am a driven person and really want to do my part for my peers and give them a voice. I was the secretary and women’s captain for the Handball team, and Icelandic representative in the Scandinavian society at York during my previous degree. I believe that from both I gained good organisational and people skills, making me very approachable and always willing to help. I would love to once again be part of something that I think is important.
