I have a bachelor's degree in agriculture with a major in veterinary technology and a minor in chemistry. In the states, I hold a veterinary technician license in Virginia, and most of my clinical experience is with emergency medicine in both domestic and non-domestic species. My career goal is to become a public health veterinarian working in the US Department of Agriculture. When I'm not studying I'm usually rollerskating or watching Netflix.
During my undergrad, I was one of the university's founding LGBTQ+ Ambassadors. I worked in a small group as a liaison between the LGBTQ office and the student body. As part of that team, I created workshops for allyship training, conducted lectures focused on mental health, and developed safe places for LGBTQ students on campus. I have experience listening to student comments, addressing those comments with appropriate staff member(s), and implementing solutions.
