RVC on Ice created in 2013 has grown massively since its setup, with both social and skating lesson members we have become one of the more popular clubs at the RVC.

Following the NISA Skate UK levels (and higher to bronze, silver and gold medals if needed), we skate every week at the famous Alexandra Palace, and we are lucky enough to be coached by the three times men’s British ice skating champion, John Hamer, as well as the amazing Gary Jones who coached John to his victories. 

You get the opportunity to skate for pleasure and learn great skating techniques or take it further and get involved in competitions as we try to enter everything at all levels, including fun friendly intercollegiate events, and winter skills figure skating competitions. 

No matter your ability there is a place for you, we offer discounted group and private lessons for all skill levels from beginner to advanced and have proudly had members from all abilities bring home trophies in competition.

Transport from both Camden and Hawkshead will be guided to help you catch the train to Alexandra Palace and as an RVC On Ice member you get discounted rink entry. 

As well as socializing on the ice, we hold socials in both London and Potters Bar including curry nights, club nights, bar crawls, lazertag, cocktails, bowling, quizzes and more, and we meet up with other clubs both within the RVC and other London universities. Other notable events for us include RVC Sports Ball, our annual holiday tour trip, and AGM events such as Thorpe Park and Go Ape!
