Welcome to the RVC Men’s Rugby Football Club. Join for the most exhilarating team experience on offer at the RVC. 

We are open and welcome to players of all ages and abilities willing to work hard and be a part of the RVCRFC. We pride ourselves on our commitment, our perseverance, and above all, our manic enthusiasm on and off the field.  

Our 1st XV side compete against Universities in the BUCS league these include teams such as London Southbank. Following the league, we’ve recently been organizing games within veterinary universities, last year we played Bristol and Surrey. Our annual Varsity Match between the Camden campus and Hawkshead campus has become a showstopper in recent years. It is without a doubt the most watched sporting event at the RVC.  

We train on Monday evenings at Old Albanians RFC in St Albans at 18:00. This is a short drive from the Hawkshead campus and transport is organised by senior members of the club. Matches are played on Wednesday afternoons both home (at our Hawkshead Campus in Potters Bar), and away. Win lose or draw, following the final whistle players, substitutes and supporters alike convene at the infamous RVC bar ;"The Buttery"; to celebrate (or to forget). 

Socials with other RVC clubs and societies are organised every Wednesday evening following games home and away. Some endless highlights include Curry-aoke, Salsa dancing with the Womens Rowing club, Plenty of pub crawls with the Netball girls, and Slav Social. Topped up by promotions such as drinks/entry into some of London’s top bars and clubs, the RVCRFC will give you a university experience like no other. We go beyond, our annual international tour has graced locations such as Prague, Slovenia (-15°C) and Barcelona in recent years. We pride ourselves in our comradery and we can ensure you that your best university memories will be made alongside us.
